One day a 14 year old school girl named Serena meets a magical talking cat called Luna. Luna tells her she is actually a Sailor Moon fighter and that she must find the lost Princess of the Moon Kingdom and fight the forces of evil. Her nemisis is Queen Beryl who symbolises everything bad in the world.
The game follows the story of the animé after the victory of Usagi (Serena's name in Japan) and her friends over the evil Queen. Peace returns to the Moon Kingdom, but not for long. A little girl called Chibiusa comes from the future and says the future kingdom is under threat from an evil prince this time - Prince Diamond. Not surprisingly it looks like it's up to you to defeat him and save Chibiusa's mother, the future Sailor Moon.
Another street beat-em-up in the style of Streets of Rage, you once more take on the role of either Usagi or one of her girlfriends, including Chibiusa. As is typical for the genre, you can kick and punch and have various special moves and abilities for each character. Once you have cleared an area of enemies you move on to the next.
