Art of Fighting 2 is the prequel to the first Fatal Fury games. At the beginning we learn that Mr. Karate, who is the masked end boss in the original, is really Takuma Sakazaki, Ryo and Yuri's father. Takuma was being used by Geese Howard all along as part of his own evil plan Mr. Big was the bad guy that kidnapped Yuri originally. All of the issues that hindered the first game have been resolved. For example, it's now much easier to perform the special moves and you can select characters other than Ryo or Robert in single player mode. All of the original characters have been included with the exceptions of Todo and Mr. Karate and a few new characters have been added (Takuma Sakazaki, Ryo, Yuri's father: Yuri Sakazaki, Eiji Kisaragi, and Temjin). You also face Geese Howard as the last boss if you beat all the other characters without losing a round.
